What Astro Weekly is

Astro Weekly is a web app for people who organise recurring social football games. It grew out of a real Wednesday game, where one person had to collect replies, chase late dropouts, find substitutes, divide the confirmed players into fair teams, remember payments, and gather ratings after the final whistle. The app brings that repeated work into one weekly loop: players open a shared link, join the game or waiting list, check the published teams, and rate the match, while the organiser keeps control of decisions. Astro Weekly is designed for regular five-a-side, six-a-side, seven-a-side, and similar informal groups that need a dependable routine without adding more chat admin. It is not a league platform, a committee system, or full club-management software for formal squads. Its purpose is narrower: help the person who keeps a social game alive spend less of the week organising it and more of the evening playing football.

Why it exists

The organiser should get to play too

The game itself was fine. The admin around it was the problem: scattered replies, late dropouts, uneven teams, and reminders that nobody else could see. Astro Weekly turns that invisible work into a clear weekly loop.

Practical before clever

The app is built around the few jobs that happen every week. Join list, waitlist, teams, subs, ratings. Nothing ornamental has to be learned before the group can use it.
